2012 MASTER SCHEDULE

There are several ways that you or your group can go diving aboard the Sea Lion. To secure a single spot on board you must contact the shop, club, or person who has chartered the boat; there is a contact list at the end of the schedule.

If your dive shop or group would like to charter the Sea Lion there are still a limited number of  Open Dates available this year. To arrange to charter the SEA LION call AWD (Atlantic Wreck Diving) at (973) 887- DEEP, or

Tolten Freighter was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine early in the war. Much of the wreckage is overgrown with a luxurious layer of hydroids, anemones, and other marine life.

The Sea Lion will be based out of Kammerman's Marina in Atlantic City for 2 weeks, digging on and exploring wrecks that are seldom visited.

Atlantic Divers

Cayru freighter was built in 1919 at Hog Island. On March 8, 1942 a torpedo hit the Cayru, but it failed to explode. Unfortunately, before the Cayru's captain could take any evasive action a second torpedo sent the freighter to the bottom within minutes.

Almirante The Almirante now sits low lying and scattered in 65 feet of water. This wreck is also known as the Flour Wreck.

Red Bricks old schooner produced  a bell, a large pump, numerous dead eyes and  large lobster throughout the red brick reef.  A massive cargo of bricks form a large mound rising over ten feet above the surrounding sand bottom.

Almirante steel hulled freighter was built in 1909. She was 379 feet long had a 49 foot beam, en route from New York to Panama with a cargo of flour, when she encountered a dense fog

Astra Her stern is intact and lists to port. The rest of the ship sits upright, her midsection collapsed. She can be easily penetrated, and is a great photography wreck.. Parts of automobiles are spread around the wreckage.

San Jose was a passenger freighter, with a small number of cabins for paying passengers, although no grand facilities as might be expected on a liner.

PintaSank in 1963 when hit broadside by British freighter SS City of Perth. Her cargo holds are open exposing her cargo of lumber. This pile of boards is now a favorite area for divers to search for lobsters. Several brass gauges came up in 07.

Emerald She saw service during the Civil War out of Tampa and Key West Florida. While cruising off the New Jersey coast she broke a propeller shaft, took on water, and sank.

San Saba and Chappara On October 4, 1918 the freighter San Saba was en-route from new York to Tampa with a general cargo when she hit a mine laid by the German U-Boat 117. The wreck is broken down and scattered but divers will still recognize her boiler and propeller.

Stolt Dagali This wrecks name is actually the Dagali, operated by the Stolt line tankers, however always referred to as the Stolt. A massive tanker that was cut in half by the luxury liner Shalom on November 26th, 1964.
